Greed is not a thing I am very in to, if it’s about material things. The Samsung S5 will do fine (I have the S4 mini now) once my contract ends. Come to think to it, I might keep the S4 mini and take the discount on the contract for a year. I know what it’s like to have the privilege of being unemployed, including the new salary. You get used to living the less is more kind of life.
But greed isn’t just about things, so if I think about it.. I’m not of the hook yet.
Psychologicaly speaking greed is the longing for something we don’t have yet. Mostly things outside ourselves. The idea of having it, pushes us to keep trying to get it. My dear Betty can get greedy once she enters the Rituals store and starts sniffing at all the nice products, but she can live without them. It’s clear that Rituals are a luxury and you can’t have that all the time.
No.. Betty only wants one thing and that’s being in charge. In charge over her life and the feeling of safety that being in charge brings her. She is very serious about her freedom and the right to decide for herself. Cutting it short.. she wants control. She will try her best to stay self-supporting. Attempts to push her, even in small FB-groups without asking first, sorry, she won’t have that.
Mind games and manipulation, you better think again, she has no mercy. Unfortunately what she wants is not easy to come by. She wants to have the impossible. You can’t always have control over everything. The idea that she needs it, comes from wanting to be save. If she lets go, she doesn’t know for sure how it will turn out.
Besides the dancing lessons she already has, I will have to find a yoga class.. on You tube.. this because of the next sin in the line of seven.. being a sloth.
